LIZ ANDERS

Prior to joining KAC in 2006, Liz Anders worked in New York at Christie’s Auction House in the British and Irish Art specialist department and worked on prestigious single owner sales such as the Doris Duke sale and the Wayne LePoe sale. After leaving New York, Liz worked at the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center in the Photographs Department in Austin, Texas researching potential acquisitions for the permanent collection. She received her Master of Arts in Modern and Contemporary Art, Connoisseurship and the History of the Art Market from Christie's Education in New York in 2003 and she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History in 2002. Liz advises clients on art procurement, management, collection care and is a fine art appraiser. She is fulfilling the Certificate Program in Appraisal Studies at the Rhode Island School of Design, is currently a Candidate Member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and is certified in accordance with the Uniform Standards of Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Liz currently serves as a Board Member of the ASA Houston Chapter and is the Houston Chapter Secretary for 2010-2011. Liz is active in the Houston community serving on the Rice Design Alliance auction committee, a board member of the Kinkaid Young Professionals Organization and a member of VICTORY, a branch of the American Cancer Society.
